Recognizing the importance of Women’s education  V.V. Kanyashala was established in 1916 as a Primary School. It was upgraded to full fledged High School in 1936 and the students appeared for matriculation examination of Nagpur University. However from 1947 onwards girl’s students started appearing for S.S.C. Exam conducted by the Board.

V.V. Kanyashala has its own spaceous building with well furnished class rooms, a sprawling campus and easily accessible location. The school offers instructions in English and Marathi media with Telugu and Hindi as second languages. Classes in English medium are from 6th to 10th, where as in Marathi Medium they are from 1st to 10th.

The school has qualified staff to teach various subjects as per the syllabus. The school has a library with a large
collection of books. It has a text book lending section. There are two laboratories with all necessary Equipments, Chemicals, Glassware, Models, Charts, Microscopes etc. The school organizes co-curricular activities, games &
