SCHOOL OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (V. V. COLLEGE)

The era of liberalization, privatization and Globalization, has thrown opportunities to our youngsters in all walks of life, especially Management. Realizing this, the School of Business Management, V.V.College was established in August 2003 to provide a new genre of Education to Management students. The school has been established as a Linguistic Minority Institution, with special preference to the Marathi Speaking Community. The school offers 2 years full time programme of Master of Business Management (MBA) affiliated to Osmania University and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The present intake is 60 students and all admissions are made through entrance test (ICET) of which 15 seats are reserved under Management Quota.

The school has its own spacious building with large class rooms equipped with all modern electronic gadgets. It has a well equipped library with more than 5000 books dealing with many aspects of Management. Serving as an excellent repository of knowledge, the library has around 50 Magazines & Journals both National and International on varied areas of Management. The library is fully automated with SOUL Software (Software with University Library). A good number of audio & video tapes and C.Ds are also available in the library.

Two fully air conditioned Computers labs with more than 60 systems of P4 configuration and other state of art accessories have been established in the college. These labs have 24/7 internet facility easily accessible to the students.

PLACEMENT ACTIVITY:
Vivek Vardhini in a nascent stage constituted placement cell coordinated by placement incharge with an objective to build industry-institutional interaction and try to bring up our students upto the expectations of the industry.

Since its inception Vivek Vardhini School of Business Management focused its efforts towards placements and could successfully maintain and improve the placement percentage of over and above 65%. Its accelerating its efforts towards more industry-institutional tie ups for placements and summer projects.

Academic Activities:
Our students have represented the college in various academic activities comprising of formal and informal events. Formal events like Paper Presentations, Business Quiz, Debates, Elocutions,             Ad-Mad, Stress Interviews, Young Manager, etc and informal events like JAM, Antakshari and other Cultural Programmes, conducted at the RBVRR, Badruka, A.V. and other colleges. G. Aditya, M.Swapnil of batch 2007-09 won prizes in some events.

Sports:
Our students also brought home several prizes and medals in the state and national level competitions in Cricket, Wrestling, Basketball, Volleyball and Tennikoit. To name a few, Sandeep Goud, Datta Shinde won in Badminton and Cricket tournaments of batch 2007-09 and Mahesh Singh in Wrestling of 2003-05 batch.

Report on Management Meet “LAKSHYA-2008 – EK CHUNAUTI”

Vivek Vardhini School of Business Management organized “LAKSHYA-2008 – EK CHUNAUTI”, a two-day management meet on 26th & 27th September at Vivek Vardhini College Campus. This was the first time that a management meet was organized by the School of Business Management – Vivek Vardhini College, since its inception.

The theme adopted for management meet was “Learning by Doing” with an aim of providing platform for budding manager to have hands-on experience in various facets of management. Over 200 students from various management colleges (including OU & JNTU) of twin cities participated for various competitions.

The programme was inaugurated with lighting ceremony by honourable chief guest Mr. D.Virinchi, Asst. General Manager (Liaison), SBH accompanied by Mr. G.K. Datar, Hon. General Secretary of Vivek Vardhini Education Society/Secretary & Correspondent of Vivek Vardhini College, Mr. Sreedhar Kundeji, Chairman, Vivek Vardhini College Committee, Mr. Ram Parlikar, Member of College Committee and advisor to Management Meet “Lakshya-2008”.
